NEW Research Underway

Spirituality in the Daily Life of Families

The Peyton Institute for Domestic Church Life is pleased to announce that, Spring 2027, we will publish a new research project in collaboration with the Center for Applied Research in the Apostolate (CARA).

This important study draws on surveys conducted by the Institute between October 2025 and May 2026, engaging both parents and pastoral ministers. Participants were invited to share their experiences and insights regarding the needs of families and those who serve them—particularly in fostering a deeper, more meaningful shared prayer life within the home.

This research seeks to illuminate practical pathways for strengthening the domestic church, equipping families to grow together in faith, and supporting pastoral leaders in accompanying them with clarity, compassion, and confidence.

Catholic Families Are Called to be Different

  • How can Catholic families experience faith as the source of warmth in their homes?
  • How can our households better reflect the love of Christ in our relationships with each other and the world?
  • How can Catholic families fulfill their mission to be the primary engines of evangelization and positive social change?
