Introduction to Mariology: “My Queen, My Mother”

6-Week Online Course

Course start date is Monday, August 31, 2026.

Registration is open now—and closes on Thursday, August 20th.

Course description:
This 6-week online course explores the theological and spiritual significance of Mary, Mother of the Redeemer and Mother of the Church. Focus will be given to Marian doctrines and dogmas. Participants will examine the biblical foundations and patristic roots of Mariology. The curriculum also covers the practice of Marian devotions, including liturgical feasts, popular piety, and the role of approved apparitions in the life of the Church.

What makes this study of Mary different from other courses? As we learn the doctrine and dogmas concerning Mary, we will explore how to pray with these rich teachings and gain insights that can transform our prayer life and spirituality.

The title of this course was inspired by the last words of Father Patrick Peyton, C.S.C., sainthood candidate and founder of Holy Cross Family Ministries, of which The Peyton Institute for Domestic Church Life is a ministry member.

Who is the course designed for?
Deacons, catechists, teachers, pastoral ministers and any adult who wishes to continue their understanding of Mary and to grow in their prayer life.
